Nebraska Quarterback Trisan Gebbia transfer to Oregon State
After removing himself from the team last Monday, Tristan Gebbia has found a new home in the Pacific Northwest. Gebbia is set to transfer to Oregon State where he will sit out the 2019 season and then have three years of eligibility remaining. Tristan already used his redshirt at Nebraska and was set to backup true freshman Adrian Martinez after he was announced as the starter last Sunday.
Oregon shouldn’t be a surprise as he follows linebacker Avery Roberts to the Beavers as it was the landing place for former Husker coaches Mike Riley, linebackers coach Trent Bray, and associate athletic director Dave Van De Reit. Riley is currently an analyst for the Beavers under head coach Jonathan Smith who brought him on after his tenure at Nebraska ended. Next spring, Riley is taking on the challenge of coaching the San Antonio team in the newly created Alliance of American Football league so it makes sense that he would still have ties with his former quarterback.
