Nebraska makes the early top-6 for 2020 tackle Turner Corcoran
Some may feel that Nebraska is working from behind the 8-ball with the 2019 recruiting class but they’re certainly gaining a lot of traction with the 2020 class at this point. 2020 Offensive tackle Turner Corcoran out of Lawrence, KS released his top schools tonight which included Nebraska in the mix.
At 6-6, 280lbs, Corcoran is one of the top prospects in the midwest for 2020 coming in as a 4-star recruit and the 95th ranked player overall according to 247sports composite rankings. He’s ranked as the #1 player in the state of Kansas and the 10th best offensive tackle in the country. With Nebraska looking for tackles in the 2019 and 2020 classes that can make an impact early in their careers this could be a tremendous fit for the Big Red.
Turner took an unofficial visit to Nebraska back on June 23rd and the Husker coaching staff made enough of an impression to get into his list of top schools. Nebraska will have a lot of work to do with Corcoran in order to beat out schools such as Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma who have been recruiting at an incredibly high rate this year.
Notre Dame arguably has the best offensive line recruiting class in 2019 so that might allow the Huskers to make past the Fighting Irish and into the final round of schools for Corcoran. If Nebraska can show a little improvement and make a little noise on the field this fall they could be in a very good place with Corcoran in the future.
Nebraska is joined by Ohio State, KU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Kansas State in Turner Corcoran’s rankings.
