In the midst of a terrific World Series Game 5, the Huskers received word that talented 4-star ATH Kalon Gervin would be coming in for an official visit this weekend. Cornerbacks coach Donte Williams has done a terrific job of getting Gervin on board with the defense’s’ vision for the future.
Gervin is one of the top players in the country listed as the 180th prospect overall. Capable of playing both cornerback and wide receiver, Gervin would make a huge addition to the Huskers already talented 2018 class and continue to add top-shelf athleticism in the Husker secondary.

At one point, Gervin was committed to Notre Dame but over the summer he backed off his commitment as his recruiting began really heating up. Kalon has over 39 scholarship offers thanks to his play on the field and boasts a blazing fast 4.41 40-yard dash.
Considered the team to beat, Michigan State is the leader in Gervin’s recruitment right now so the Huskers will have a lot of work to do on his official visit to close that gap. In addition to Michigan State, he is also strongly considering Florida, Oregon, and Virginia tech among others.
