Athletic Director Bill Moos wasted little time this weekend announcing the firing of head football coach Mike Riley this morning. Riley was 19-19 in his three-year tenure at Nebraska and while those around him were quite fond of coach the results on the field were what led to his ouster.
Former and current players, recruits, and others Riley knew have all sung his praises on social media this afternoon.
Many times, after a head coach is let go there’s no final presser. Riley and Moos will speak to the media this afternoon.
