Nebraska lands linebacker from the Volunteer State Jackson Hannah
Nebraska picked up its third commitment this week in Nashville, TN linebacker Jackson Hannah on Wednesday. The talented linebacker out of Montgomery Bell Academy picked the Huskers over several power 5 schools and landed a different maker at inside linebacker.
With a 6-3 220lb frame and great speed, Jackson Hannah racked up over 18 scholarship offers from around the country before picking the Cornhuskers after an eye-opening visit to Lincoln last weekend.
After Hannah visited Lincoln, he knew where he wanted to spend the next four years of his life. Hannah told Scott Frost and the staff of his decision a few days ago and made the decision public via Twitter today.
“After much consideration and countless prayers, I am incredibly happy to announce my commitment to the University of Nebraska,” Hannah tweeted. Jackson’s commitment gives the Huskers their 8th public commitment in the 2019 recruiting class with his announcement.
Nebraska leapt to 29th in the team composite recruiting rankings after Hannah’s commitment today. With several other recent visitors the Huskers could continue to climb the rankings should more commitments happen soon.
The Huskers currently have 8 known commitments in the class and we expect them to end up with 25-28 commits in the 2019 class. Keep an eye on recent visitor Matthew Anderson as well as the upcoming visitors to the June 15 and June 22nd Friday Night Lights camp in Lincoln.
Scott Frost and Co. are set to host several of the regions top 2019/2020 recruits over the next few weeks and could make up for lost time with the 2019 class.
