Nebraska Vs. Minnesota

Time: TBA
Location: TCF Bank Stadium – Minneapolis, Minn.
Watch: TBA

The Battle for the $5 Bits of Broken Chair Trophy (we hope) will go down in Minneapolis this year. The Gophers will no doubt be in ELITE form as they look to ROW THE BOAT thanks to new head coach P.J. FLECK!

Caps lock aside, Fleck’s attitude may be infectious enough to make life miserable for the Huskers. *TRAP GAME ALERT*

Hopefully Minnesota’s quarterback position is sorted out in a hurry as Demry Croft looks to battle Seth Green and Conor Rhoda for the honor of taking snaps. The Gophers do sport a deep corps of running backs with the top three from 2016 returning.

Rodney Smith led Minnesota with 1,158 yards and 12 touchdowns while Shannon Brooks added 650 yards and five touchdowns of his own. The Gophers lose their top wide receiver in Drew Wolitarsky (860, 5 TDs) but will look to Rashad Still (349 yards) and tight end Nate Wozniak (135 yards) to step up.

New defensive coordinator Robb Smith has a solid corps of linebackers to work with. Jonathan Celestin will help seal the outside while Cody Poock works the middle. Third-team Big Ten Defensive tackle Steven Richardson also returns looking to aid his ‘backer brothers.

Kicker Emmit Carpenter (22-24, 53 long) took home Big Ten Kicker of the Year Award honors and the junior is most certainly out to top himself.
