Nebraska Vs. Penn State

Time: TBA
Location: Beaver Stadium – University Park, Pa.
Watch: TBA

About the best thing Nebraska could have going for it heading into Happy Valley would be a lack of injuries and an early start time. Getting a rowdy house of Nittany Lions in your face is never a good time for the opposition and we’re just talking about the fans.

Last year’s Big Ten champion is going to provide a stiff test for a Bob Diaco defense that should at least have its wits about it by now. Quarterback Trace McSorley and running back Saquon Barkley are two of the conference’s best and will be protected by an offensive line with a combined 87 starts.

Two-time All-Big Ten receiver Chris Godwin (982, 11 TDs in 2016) isn’t around to scorch defenses anymore, but no doubt James Franklin will find McSorley replacements.

The Penn State front will be difficult to traverse, but if there’s any good news for the Big Red, it’s that the Nittany Lions lost their top two pass rushers. Wouldn’t you know it? Linebacker U has some talent at that very spot. Some of 2016’s best tacklers return including Jason Cabinda (81, 36 solo) and Manny Bowen (68, 35 solo).
