Regardless of what happens against Ohio State, Nebraska gets a week to think about it before meeting up with the Boilermakers in lovely West Lafayette.
Purdue yanked Jeff Brohm away from Western Kentucky in an attempt to stop the bleeding and at least inch back to the glory days of Drew Brees (okay, maybe that’s a bit much.)
He’ll have returning quarterback David Blough leading the offensive charge at quarterback with Markell Jones and Brian Lankford-Johnson providing a one-two punch for the running game. Purdue lost four of their top wide receivers leaving senior Gregory Phillips (172 yards, 0 TDs in 2016) as the most experienced pass-catcher.
On a defense featuring eight returning starters, T.J. McCollum will likely get plenty of pub as the linebacker followed Brohm from Western Kentucky as a grad transfer. Look for fellow ‘backers Ja’Whaun Bailey and Markus Bailey to make some noise as well.
